The International Academic Advisory Board primary role is to ensure the academic quality and credibility of the Freely Business School’s operations as an academic institution.
The International Academic Advisory Board supports the maintenance, promotion and improvement of the academic standards of the Freely Business School (FBS). The Board does so by:

advising the FBS Board of Directors (BOD) on the core values and activities of scholarship which should define FBS’s core activities of teaching and learning; |
| 2.2 |
recommending to the BOD, the adoption of academic policies which are consistent with the FBS’s Vision and Mission and Strategic Plan; |
| 2.3 |
adopting procedures pursuant to FBS-approved academic policies, to give effect to those policies; |
| 2.4 |
protecting and enhancing the quality of FBS’s academic programs at all levels; |
| 2.5 |
advising the BOD on the academic aspects of the overall strategic direction of FBS; |
| 2.6 |
recommending to the BOD the establishment of new academic programs and awards to be offered in collaboration with other partner institutions; |
| 2.7 |
supporting the BOD and the FBS Executive Managers by the provision of advice in response to matters referred to the International Academic Advisory Board; |
| 2.8 |
monitoring its own performance, and advising the BOD on the outcome of this review. In undertaking the review, the opinions of the Senior Executive of FBS will be sought. |
The link between the International Academic Advisory Board and the governance and management functions of FBS is achieved by the ex officio membership of the International Academic Advisory Board on the BOD.
The membership of the International Academic Advisory Board reflects its academic leadership role, and its responsibility for the development and enhancement of teaching and learning and research.
The International Academic Advisory Board has a role to promote a collegiate environment for the pursuit of academic excellence and therefore conducts its affairs in a way which ensures a high profile within FBS Partner Institutions, and which enjoys the confidence of FBS community locally (admin/operations and academic staff members).
